In thirteen reasons why there are a lot of things that I am confused about. I don’t really understand why she is so calm about committing suicide. Her voice in the tapes are just so calm. Its kinda shocking to me. I think that it takes a lot to actually do let alone make tapes about doing it. Also the reasons she gives people in the tapes doesn’t make much sense to me to why she would make take some of those things as personally as she does. I don’t think someone would actually commit suicide over some of the things she is made about. I could see her maybe thinking about it if the situations where a little more serious or if they kept being dragged on. Then again who knows, we don’t really know the whole story. I just hope that soon we find out more of an important situation to why she did do it and why she made the tapes. Was is for revenge? So far this hasn’t been the best book or one of the top books that I have read. I hope it gets better and things seem to join together. Even though this is only like the third chapter =)

ReplyDeleteI had a lot of these same questions. Maybe she's calm in the tapes because she was controlling the situation, and making them gave her something else, besides her pain, to think about. I don't know.
I completely agree with you that she is to calm and the only thing that I could think of is that she was in controll once in her life and she wanted to condem the people that hurt her like she was hurt. I really don't understand y someone would for the little things but when your that age in high school popularity is a big thing and in some kids the only thing that they can look forward too. It's truely a shame that kids do this still today.
